If you are looking for a spectacular castle venue in the Malaga area within easy reach of the airport Castillo de Santa Catalina truly is a fantastic choice for a fairytale wedding! Built in 1624 by King Philip IV, the Fortress was originally part of the defences for the city of Malaga. By early 20th Century, the fortress had fallen into ruins and the Count of Mieres, Manuel Loring, decided to have his residence built adjacent to it. He commissioned an Arabian style palace which has now become the modern day Castillo.

The palace still commands spectacular views over Malaga bay and is surrounded by pretty tropical gardens where you and your guests can mingle on your special day. In addition to the hotel there are meeting rooms, gardens and terraces which can all be used to create the atmosphere and privacy to celebrate your union with friends and family. Inside the hotel each bedroom has been individually designed, with its own style and personality.

In keeping with the hotel´s luxury and the castle setting the menus can be described as you very own banquet. Great attention is paid to detail, and menus include a range of international delicacies and local dishes, all freshly prepared and served.

Castillo de Santa Catalina boasts a banqueting hall original marbles and with views over the Mediterranean for inside dining. There are also patios and terraces for outside celebrations with an overall capacity for up to 500 wedding guests. The hotel has luxury accommodation for up to 16 guests in a suite, two junior bedrooms and five luxury bedrooms. Just  a few minutes drive from Malaga city centre, the beach and the airport, el Castillo is truly a luxury castle set on the cliffs of the sparkling Mediterranean, yet within easy reach of modern-day Spain.
